Master-PhD programs

Integrated into the teaching program of Aix-Marseille University, the Master Health and Biology is intended for students in scientific and medical fields. It leads to the preparation of a PhD (Master Research "human and medical genetics") or integration into professional life (Master Pro "counseling in genetics and predictive medicine").

The first year of the Master is devoted to the acquisition of a knowledge base covering infectious diseases, genetic diseases, nutrition, cancer, the impact of the environment on health and the ethical and legislative aspects of health. biomedical research. The 2nd year Master is divided into a core curriculum centered on the host's response and transverse genetics and specialty teaching devoted to human and medical genetics.

Mainly intended for the training of genetic counselors who will work in hospital teams, this Master is part of the recent law of public health. It allows to acquire a solid scientific and medical training in the domains covering the methodological aspects of the genetics and the predictive medicine and their fields of application (prenatal diagnosis, oncogenetic, neurogegenic, metabolic diseases ...)

Aimed at science and medical education students of all nationalities, the MMG PhD program has been designed for curious, motivated and ambitious students who aspire to autonomy and exchange. The latter is part-taking part of the teaching program of the Doctoral School of Life and Health Sciences of Aix-Marseille University.

Once integrated into the MMG PhD program, students benefit from:

In addition to the support of the Doctoral School of Life and Health Sciences of Aix-Marseille University, MMG PhD students can benefit from funding from national and international programs and networks in which their host laboratory participates.
