Le Pr Thierry Brue a reçu le prix prestigieux Rolf Gaillard de la Société Européenne de Neuro-Endocrinologie (ENEA)

Prof. Thierry Brue has been awarded the prestigious Rolf Gaillard Prize by the European Society of Neuro-Endocrinology (ENEA) for his research into rare pituitary diseases. With the Centre de Référence Maladies Rares HYPO attached to Pr Anne Barlier's Molecular Biology laboratory, (Biogénopole APHM), his INSERM research team in the MMG laboratory (Marseille Medical Genetics) and in collaboration with Pr Jacques Drouin (Montreal), he has contributed to the identification of 2 new genes involved in corticotropic deficiencies, TBX19 and NFKB2 at the origin of neonatal ACTH deficiency. Thanks to the identification of these genes, early treatment of newborns with these mutations enables them to lead virtually normal lives.
